There was of course no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment. How often, or on what system, the Thought Police plugged in on any individual wire was guesswork. It was even conceivable that they watched everybody all the time. But at any rate they could plug in your wire whenever they wanted to.

The Flat Earth Society
Came across this today. While it might look like a joke, there are some people who, to this day, believe in this. Have they heard about eclipses or planets or timezones? Heck, there’s no point asking because as I’ve seen time and again, people can get themselves to believe whatever they wish to. Look at religions. I wouldn’t even mention the major ones here, just the ‘crazy’ ones like Mormonism and Scientology. Here’s two fun ones: Dudeism and Pastafarianism. Heck, I adore Carlin so much I want to start The Church Of George Carlin. But then there would be one tiny problem. It wouldn’t be the same as others because Carlin actually existed.
The biggest irony of this site and the likes, is that these people are using mobile phones and the internet everyday, even for propagating their propaganda. Yet they choose to believe not in the existence of science, and sanity.
